You Need to Stop Drinking Mountain Dew

I refuse! We have one of our investigators who is a doctor, so we got a free weird checkup through this weird machine. It told me I'm healthy, but I drink way too many soft drinks. It was cool though, but I'm not going to follow the advice. This week was super crazy though! We had two Christmas parties, saw some people gut a pig and other things. 

We'll start out with the two parties. We had two, one for the stake, and one for the ward. We didn't get a lot of time at the stake Christmas party, because the Zone Leaders said we could only be there for an hour. So we went for a little bit then dashed. But we stopped back after an appointment and snagged some food, and then dashed again. So it was successful to say the least. 

We then the very next day had a Ward Christmas Party, which we were not given a time limit for, so we were there for a little more than an hour. But the cool thing was that we had Lechon (it's literally just a whole pig on a stick, and believe it or not the head is the most tastiest part). And the night before, we visited the members that make the lechon, so we got to see them gut the pig, and it was disgusting. I have a video, but that's for after the mission. But that Christmas party was so fun! I ate so much food, we almost couldn't get out to work afterwards. We did get work, but it was so hard to walk. 

Work this week was also super good, we now have a PBD, Bro. Jonard. He's a friend of Bro. Harris which is awesome because Bro. Harris works with us all the time. So every time we visit him he comes with us. We also have a ton of other cool people who have the potential to progress as well. 

We have one who is searching for the truth, so when we gave her the Book of Mormon she read the whole first book of Nephi in 3 days, and then we used it in our last discussion about prophets. We have a couple others who as well started reading in the Book of Mormon, and love the message it has. It's been cool to see. I love the Book of Mormon, but I love seeing other people changed through it more. It was a good week. 

Well That's it this week, but Merry Christmas to everyone! We've been celebrating this for 4 months now, but I still love Christmas! So go Light the World, and help someone feel that spirit of joy that we have because of Christ! Love ya all!

Talked to Isaac for about an hour last night. He is happy; a little frustrated, but happy. We are glad we get to talk to him again on Christmas. Last night, I determined that part of the reason for the weekly phone calls home is to let our missionary vent a little. We think it had been a rough Sunday for them, so he had get some things off his chest, but we ended the call on a positive note. He's sailing into Christmas with a goal to just bring everyone they meet a little closer to Jesus. He said there's a man who works in a shop/store near them that joined a church or club or something that doesn't believe in celebrating Christmas, so the man told Isaac and Elder Shepherd that he misses celebrating Christmas. So, they have a plan to give the man a gift to help him feel a little of the Christmas (Christ) spirit tomorrow. :)
