Happy Easter!

Easter here is a little crazy because everyone here is super crazy Catholic. So here for Easter they do a street play where they act out the Savior's crucifixion. While traveling to our District Council, I saw the part where Jesus is brought and judged before Pilate. They had a guy (acting as Jesus) being dragged by a rope, and I was very confused on what was going on. Apparently they actually crucified him later, but I wasn't there to see that part (thank goodness). Anyway it got really wild, really fast. They also do this procession where they go up and down the streets with Idols of Dead Saints, and Jesus. We're not allowed to go near it, so if it comes by we had to get off the main road and wait for it to go by. Such is life.

Besides that, nothing really special happened for Easter, just the same old going about and doing missionary work, normal life. We did on Sunday have this really cool family come to church though. They are the best progressing investigator right now. Except their house is really far, like a 3 mile hike away, so it leaves you really tired at the end of the day.

We also had some baptismal interviews for two of our investigators, but we have to reteach them and help them understand some things before we can baptize them. It's hard because one of them doesn't really understand Tagalog, he mostly only speaks Ricronada. And the only other dialect we know is Bicol. So yeah, it's difficult, but we'll get there.

We also had our District activity this morning, we hiked up to the really old church on the top of the mountain. It was really cool, and there was a bunch of statues and things about Jesus. It was really cool.

That's really it for this week, not a whole ton of updates. I hope everyone had a good Easter though. It was great because, while everyone was mourning the Death of Jesus, we were going about, telling everyone, "HE LIVES!". Remember he does. And because he lives, death is no longer a dismal end, but rather a new beginning!
