Typhoon Tisoy
Alright short email this week because we have to head out of this computer lab pretty soon. We have a super typhoon coming in right now, and we're preparing for the worst.
We're pretty safe up here in Daet, so we're not going to get hit by the eye of the storm. But it should be another interesting experience. Depending on how bad it gets not sure when we're able to get back in contact. Please pray for all the member here though who don't have solid protection.

We heard from Isaac on Thanksgiving. His camera was ruined in the last typhoon that just basically soaked the whole area two weeks ago. When we spoke with him on Thursday, they were beginning to prepare for Typhoon Tisoy which is hitting them at this writing.
He called yesterday at 4pm, so pretty early on their Monday. He said President Lee said they could call home quickly, but then they had to hightail is back to their apartment. They have six elders staying in their apartment. It is on the second story and is a concrete structure. It is safer than what most people in the area live in. Lots of grass huts and wood structures that Isaac said are pretty much going to be obliterated. Isaac and is companion were calling from the church. He said there were a lot of members already starting to congregate, seeking shelter.
He was happy, though. A little nervous, but mostly concerned about the people he knows in Iriga. Daet is north of the eye of Typhoon Tisoy, but they are close to the coast and will still get plenty wet. Isaac said it will be flooding after the storm that will be the most catastrophic. Iriga will be near the eye.
So far, we have not heard anything about their welfare. They are seriously right in the middle of it now, so hopefully the Lees will fill us in later this week and hopefully the infrastructure won't take too much of a hit so that he call next Sunday night.
Praying for the Filipino people today!
