Back to Square One, but onto New Beginnings...
Crazy week with crazy news! I'm out of San Ramon! The transfer call came last Saturday, So tomorrow I report to the mission office and get a new area and companion! It's absolutely crazy. I'm also the only one in the district transferring, so it will be and interesting experience. I'll find out tomorrow where I'll go, and who my new companion will be. So a major change so that should be fun, we'll have to see how it goes.
Back to square one. So yeah not a good note to end San Ramon on though. We didn't have any of our investigators come to church this week, so there will be some re extending to do. Such is life in San Ramon. Elder Caratao was really confused, cause we personally invited all of them, but life is like that here. So not the best way to end this transfer cycle, but, I'm leaving so it wont be my area anymore. I hope there's still progression later on though.
So besides that this week has mostly been the same. Just contacting PBD's and finding new investigators, because a lot of people are becoming uninterested. So not a whole ton of progress, though we have some good new potential people.
Well, next week should be interesting though! Everything changes, so I'll have quite a bit to email about. Until then....
All is Well
Elder Bills
1. The most guapo pair of guys you've ever seen (he's a recent convert). 2. A massive snake. 3. A second pair of guapo guys. 4. Some members of our branch.
We talked to Isaac again last night. We are kinda liking this new policy. We feel much more apart of his mission because we get a play by play each week of what is happening. He was in good spirits last night as he will be transferred this coming week. San Ramon has been tough.
The kids absolutely love talking to him; I think they like watching themselves on the video camera more, though. :)
Bekah and I were able to talk to him for a bit before he hung up. He mentioned that he didn't really have success in San Ramon because he didn't help anyone become baptized. We were quick to assure him that a mission is more than baptizing people. A mission is about how the missionary changes, too. And Isaac has grown up a ton. He is starting to "get it". He said he's so glad that he is on a mission BEFORE he goes to college so that he can have a firmer foundation and know who he is and what he really wants out of life before he starts his education. We thought that was pretty mature of him to think about. Things that were important to him 6 months ago aren't even a thought anymore. He said that he wishes he could edit his journal from the MTC because he just wasn't quite into the work by then yet. But being in San Ramon has changed him, humbled him.
We look forward to other changes that take place. Sunday nights have quickly become our favorite time of the week. It's when Isaac gets to call.
