"@#$%". Um, Elder you can't say that
Interesting week, a lot of stuff has happened. So lets get into it!
We finally connected with Isaac last night. We talked for about an hour! Seemed like he didn't want to get off the phone. He said Saturday is when he will find out whether or not he will get transferred. We think he's kinda ready to move on, but we'll see what happens.
Isaac is upbeat and is maturing a lot. He was having a hard time remembering English words, so we think that is a good sign. The kids love when he uses Tagalog words.
He loves the Filipino people and thinks the Philippines is a beautiful country. He said the people are SO NICE, but because of that, no one ever says "no" to anything, but then they don't/won't keep their commitments either.
In about 2 weeks, he will have hit his 6-month mark. He couldn't believe that.
We are liking this new policy that they can call every P-day ... especially during transfers when companions are a little more tough than others. :)
Isaac DID say that he told the zone leader that "hell" was a curse word in the United States, but the zone leader said, "But we're in the Philippines, right?" :)
First off, we had exchanges with our zone leaders this last Tuesday in Tigoan which was dope. I was with Elder Mallabo while my companion went with Elder Esplin. Their area is tiny. There are less people there than in San Ramon. Wasn't sure that was possible. Either way, nobody told Elder Mallabo which words in English are swear words. So I was shocked when we walked out the door and he loudly pronounced, "H*ll yeah!" So it was a funny day.
The next day we had zone conference which is always fun. We got toasted by Sister Zapanta though, but that happens at every zone conference so, nothing new. It was fun though to be able to see everyone in the zone. It's tiny, but its the best one in the Naga mission!
Besides that not much else has happened here in the field. We got one more PBD though! He's part of the same family as the last one, but hey the gospel is about families right? He's scheduled for May though so I won't be here for that one, but nevertheless still pretty cool.
Sorry it's not a super lengthy or detailed one this week. Like most missionaries, I've been taking advatage of the new communications policy. It's been great to talk to my family. I hope all you all are doing well. Remember,
All is Well
