It's Not a Typhoon, It's a "Tropical Depression"
So this week got really rough, because of a typhoon not typhoon. It
poured all last week, and our area got absolutely wrecked. Lots of
places were under like 2 of water, so we had to stay inside a couple
days. One of those nights, our house was shaking from
the thunder, and we had a River flowing through our house(we have a
really leaky roof). We also had no electricity or water for like a
week. So we had to hand pump all our water for like a week. Which really
makes you count your blessings that we even have
a tap in our house. Because having to constantly pump water for
everything is a pain. We have water and electricity back now, which i'm
really grateful for. But it was interesting to have to deal with all of
that. Our area is good now, though there was quite
a bit of damage(including to our house, but our house has been falling
apart before I even got there).
We also had to drop some more investigators this past week. I had no idea it was possible to have a testimony of the Book of Mormon, and the Gospel, and still remain a Catholic. But apparently it is.
This has been the case with many investigators. Simply because the Catholic church is a simpler route with and easier promise of Salvation. The church here is a very, tell the people what they want to hear, that they can still drink, smoke, and commit all manner of sin, and still make it to heaven as long as your baptized. It's hard, but we've done a lot of tracting, and have found a bunch of potential investigators.
Besides that not much has happened, we had exchanges this week, which was cool. I was with my batch mate Elder Johnson, which was lot of fun.
Sorry about no email last week. We had a District Activity that ran long (Blame Elder Nalbog), and had to get our support(3 hour round trip). So by the time we got back we had no time because me and Elder Richards had some appointments to make.
Also in the last two weeks we were able to call our families on Christmas Day, which was an awesome experince, it was great to see everyone again after so long. I wish everyone well, and sorry about no reply.
All is Well
