I'm Heading Out!
Kamusta!
I'm finally off to Manila!
I will admit, I'll be happy to get out of this place, even though I will miss it as well. The flight is going to be crazy! It's just over 18 hours, plus a time change. It's gonna be weird, and insanely hot, which will be strange cause it's basically winter in Provo right now.
Not much has really changed out of the norm. We keep teaching TRC's, and other fake investigators.
The language is coming along better, and considerable progress has been made, even though any hope I have will be dashed when I make it to Manila and talk to native speakers. Tonight though me and my kasama are going to do a Skype-TRC with people in the Philippines, so we're a little stressed about that.
We got to talk to some RM's over the past couple of days that served in our mission to find out a little bit about the culture and people in Naga. It honestly has me super excited to get out into the field despite the obvious language barrier. The coolest thing was hearing each one of them just express this deep love for the people, and tell us how blessed we were to go out and teach them.
I ran into some people from back home over this past couple of weeks. I'll attach some pictures below. One is my good friend Elder Nakaya (who I've mentioned before) he's going to Japan. Also my high school buddy Elder Hooker going to Armenia, and then my good friend Elder Williams, going to Zimbabwe (I don't have a picture of him yet he just barely got here.)
I hope everyone is doing well, I miss ya all and can't wait to tell you what will happen in the Philippines.
All is Well

(Isaac leaves the Provo MTC on the afternoon of Monday, 15 October (which happens to be Sadie's 18th birthday). He will fly from SLC to LAX and be at LAX on a layover from about 7pm to 1am MDT. He gets to call us from there, so "Happy Birthday" to Sadie! He will then fly from LAX to Manila on a forever-hour flight, basically missing all of Tuesday, 16 Oct, landing in the Philippines at 6am on Wednesday, 17 Oct. The Philippines are currently 14 hours ahead of Mountain Daylight Time.)
