Week 2: One Week Down

Kamusta!
Wow, it's crazy that it's already been a week and then some, it flew by so fast, it seems like just yesterday, I was getting dropped off at the MTC. Things are going well here, but Tagalog is kicking my teeth in. The language is absolutly insane, and everything about it is so diffrent from English. Just to say the word Brother you use three different words, Kapitid na Lalaki, and that's not even the hard part about it. Me and my Kasama(Companion) are studying all the time, and were starting to get worn down a bit. we've had to memorize so many words in so few days. We've started to teach fake investigators, but we've had to do it in Tagalog, which actually hasn't gone as terrible as I thought it was going to. I've a really good teacher, Brother Smith, who has been helping me and my Kasama a ton. It's interesting though how fast you learn to rely on the lord though, especially when you are going into scenarios where you have no idea what to do.
This week our schedules have calmed down a bit. We have the mornings to exercise and get ready and study. And then we have classes from 1pm to 9pm. On Wendsday, we had new missionaries come in, which was weird because a week ago I remember being that missionary, a little disoriented and having no idea what was going on.
Some fun stuff that happned this week: We found a bunch of candy and old letter in our vent(one of the Older Elders told us to check), all of it was from like 2017, so its been there a while. We also had Elder Anderson come and speak to us on the importance of temples, which was also really cool. Me and the other Elder's in the district started a game of spoons, where you have to sneak spoons into each others back pockets, it's intense, because you can't trust anybody, a simple handshake could result in you getting spooned.
I wish I had more to write, but life isn't insanly interesting at the MTC. I love you all and miss you! Elder Bills

Also one last thing, I just want to thank you for teaching me to work and take care of myself. It was interesting today, because were doing laundry, and some Elders legit asked, How to do Laundry. I was like what do you mean? You can't do Laundry? They responded with " I never did Laundry, My Mom always did it for me." So thank you for not letting me be one of those missionaries.
