The Water's Freezing!

Well today was a busy and crazy week. Me and Elder Shepherd have been stressed beyond belief. But we made it through the week, and neither one of us is dead...yet. That's just a joke, but a lot happened this week, so let's get into it.

The biggest thing that happened this week is our PBDs, Bro. Jhon Kriz and Sis. Ashley, got baptized! They were baptized last Saturday and confirmed yesterday. Elder Shepherd baptized Bro. Jhon Kriz and Sis. Ashley's uncle baptized her. It was a cool service and both of their families came to attend. Sis. Ashley is a part-member who I met at the beginning of my stay here in Daet. And she didn't like missionaries. She still doesn't, but her desire to be baptized overcame that. So we had the opportunity to teach her. She had some incredible family members that helped us out. Bro. Jhon Kriz is currently the only member in his family. We met him off a street side conversation. One P-day me and Elder Shepherd went to one our set appointments, but our investigator hid inside their house. So we decided to head up the road to another person we've taught before, but noticed this small side path. We both looked at it and decided to try it. He was trying to lock up his gate, but we stopped and talked to him. He let us in, and accepted and read The Book of Mormon. He's already doing missionary work with us, trying to get to seminary, and finally became a full-fledged member yesterday. It was an amazing blessing to find him. We loved working with him, and are looking forward to helping him with his missionary efforts. So that was definitely the highlight of the week.

A couple of other things happened this week. Me and Elder Shepherd this last Wednesday headed to Naga to get him another check up. We took what's called a UV express (a van basically) to get there because we had to be at the hospital by 8. Half-way down the mountain though we had to stop because I got super car sick. I was on the side of the road for like 10 minutes just emptying my stomach. Not a fun experience. We made it to the hospital where Elder Shepherd got stabbed 4 times by a needle and got almost every part of his body tested. Turns out though nothing is wrong with him. He's just "homesick". He was told to stop stressing and avoid Filipino food for a little bit. So we've been surviving off of sandwiches from 7-11. I'm just glad that it turns out he's ok. It was not fun day though, we were at the hospital for a total of 9 hours. Most of that was just sitting and waiting. We took a bus back though, so I didn't get sick on the way back.
Me and Elder Shepherd also got up at 3 this morning and headed to a beach we have in our area. We wanted to get some pictures of the sunrise, because the sun sets in the opposite direction, so we never get to see it. So we got up super early, paid a tricye an insane amount of money, and watched the stars until the sun came up. It wasn't much but it was fun. I'll show pictures below.
Long week with a lot of stress, but we made it, and did some cool things this week. Still just working, and teaching everyone who will listen. Bro. Harris has been working a lot with us, and he's getting the Melchizedek Priesthood soon. We also have some other members that have started to work us, but I forgot to get pictures with the. As of right now, things are going pretty well. I'll see you guys next week!

All is Well
